United Methodist Church in Moran was the 4:30 p.m. May 15, 2010, setting for the wedding of Taeler Nichole Menzie and Joseph Harold Carr. Lloyd Houk performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Pat and Debbie Menzie, Colony; the groom is the son of Rick and Debra Carr, Moran.
Grandparents attending the ceremony were Richard and Linda Yohon, Stockton, Jean Carr, Iola, and Berdean Wall, Moran.
The bride wore an ivory colored satin A-line halter gown with split front, a chapel-length train and champagne colored sash and lace. Abigail Lackrone, Springfield, Mo., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Karsyn Menzie, Colony, sister of the bride, and Annie Smart, Moran. Jenna Curry, Gas, cousin of the bride, was a junior bride.
The bride’s attendants wore navy blue strapless tea-length chiffon dresses. The junior bride’s dress mirrored the bride’s gown.
Kevin Davis, Moran, served as best man. Groomsmen were Rick Carr, father of the groom and Derrick Carr, brother of the groom, both of Moran. Ryker, Curry, Gas, cousin of the bride, was the junior groom. The groom’s attendants wore black tuxedoes with silver accents.
Derrick Carr and Chance Menzie, Colony, brother of the bride, were ushers.
Braxton Curry and Reese Curry, Gas, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. They wore cream colored dresses. Flowers were gerbera daisies. Andersyn Carr, Moran, daughter of the bride and groom, held the rings.
Speakers at the wedding were Chad Curry, Kansas City, cousin of the bride, and Debra Carr, Moran, mother of the groom.
Grayce Spencer, Moran, played piano.
Following a honeymoon to Branson, Mo., the couple are at home in Moran.
Mrs. Carr is a para professional for USD 257’s Age to Age preschool at Windsor Place Nursing Center. Mr. Carr is an equipment operator for the Kansas Department of Transportation.
